Event

The Student Representative Council of Kaunas University of Technology and FESTO UAB organize the “Open Baltic Mechatronics games 2004”

 

When

2004 May 21 st – 28 th “Open Baltic Mechatronics games 2004”

Participating teams and accompanying teachers are awaited in the evening 21st of May. In the evening there will be organized social meeting of all the teams and teachers. Participants will be departing 28th of May.

 

Where

It will take place in Vilnius , Lithuania during the fairs “Science 2004” and “Balttechnika 2004” in the Lithuanian fairs centre LITEXPO.

 

Participants

Participants of “Open Baltic Mechtronics Games” are schools (except universities) of the entire world. There are two competitors in a team. They will represent following disciplines: mechanics, electronics/electrical engineering and information technology. Participants must be over 18 years old.

Participation fee is 150 € per competitors (2 competitors in team), for teacher and other coming persons participation fee is 300 €. The fee covers accommodation (hostel), meals, competition and extracurricular activity costs.

Technical information

During the competition all tasks and exercises will be representing in English language. Teams have to bring their own tools for assembling electrical and mechanical assembling. There is a possibility to bring own PLC.

Main areas of the exercises are: 
•  Pneumatics
•  Electro pneumatics
•  PLC programming (FESTO and Siemens PLC)
•  Assembling of electrical circuit
•  Troubleshooting of mechatronic system 

Tasks and exercises will be according to Worldskills competition

(www.worldskills.org) and previous “Baltic Mechatronics Game”.
